To become emo you must first know what emo means and is. Emo is short for EMOtional. Emo is now an every day word used to describe somebody with dark(usually black hair) covering at least one eye, tight shirts, girl pants, chuck taylors , black shoes , earings to their lips and sometimes thick plastic box frame glasses. Of course there is more to being emo than just tight clothes, funny haircuts, and anything else about the look. This page is dedicated in helping you become the stereotypical emo kid that you have always dreamed about.
EMO style is an alternative culture that shares many similarities to punk or rock though it has its own nuances. The term EMO is short for “emotional.” If you’ve heard your teen mentioning EMO or wearing EMO clothes, you’re likely wondering what it is and what it means. While EMO songs, hairstyles, and fashions may not be your first choice for your teen, understanding this culture will help you get through this phase of his life.
EMO has its roots in music. As punk bands began putting more emotion into their lyrics, a new style was born EMO style.
Heartbroken lyrics or angry lyrics pump the emotions while a high energy beat and emotionally charged chord progressions take the listener up and down. Harmony and melody are often used in EMO music where they are typically absent from punk rock. Punk provokes anger and action whereas EMO expresses vulnerability.
For me EMO is the best fashion style. For what they wear a dress, the color black its so nice and cool.
